The only problem, Bunny, with waiting until everything just right before you take action is that you might wind up like the two people in this poem?
The wife, white of hair, is stooped over her cane.
Her footstep – uncertain – need guiding.
While down the opposite church aisle with a wan, toothless smile.
The bridgeroom in wheelchair comes riding.
Now who is this elderly couple, thus wed?
Well, you’ll find when you’ve closely explored it.
That here is that rare, most conservative pair.
Who waited “till they could find the perfect match”.
Bunny, there is seldom a ‘perfect’ time to do anything, and if you wait until all the lights are green before you head for town, you’re going to stay at home the rest of your life, alone!
